Yes! I offer free 10 to 30-minute consultations either in person or via FaceTime (for iPhone users). I do not use Zoom or other platforms for consultations. While consultations are not always necessary, providing detailed descriptions and references can often eliminate the need for one. However, if you are local or prefer a FaceTime consultation, it is available.
No, I do not send designs beforehand. The design will be presented to you on the day of your appointment. In some cases, I may require a design review before your appointment. If minor adjustments are needed, they can be made during your session.
Absolutely. All work surfaces and equipment are thoroughly protected during the session. I use only disposable, single-use supplies, including cartridges, ink caps, and protective coverings for the tattoo machine. Each sterile cartridge is opened in front of the client to ensure maximum hygiene.
I use certified, high-quality pigments from brands like Empire Inks, Dynamic Ink, and Radiant Ink. These brands are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free, meaning they contain no animal-derived ingredients and are never tested on animals. If you have concerns about allergies, I recommend checking the ingredient lists on the manufacturers’ websites and consulting with a dermatologist before your appointment.
Healing varies for everyone, and sometimes lines may slightly fade. In such cases, a touch-up session can be scheduled if needed. I encourage clients to send me a photo of the healed tattoo about a month after the session so we can assess how it has settled and decide if a touch-up is necessary.
Over time, factors like skin type, sun exposure, and aging can impact the appearance of your tattoo. Modern high-quality pigments do not turn blue, but tattoos may naturally fade or soften over the years. Keeping your skin moisturized and applying SPF 50+ sunscreen whenever exposed to the sun will help maintain its vibrancy.
I don’t use anesthesia and prefer to avoid using numbing creams if possible. If you really need to use a numbing cream make sure it’s not more than 4-6% lidocaine and follow these steps:
1. Take a hot shower before application to open up pores.
2. Apply a thick, even layer over the area to be tattooed- like icing on a cake, don’t rub in! A thin layer won’t be effective.
3. Cover with Saran Wrap and leave it on for 1-2 hours before the appointment. You can arrive with it on, and I’ll remove it for you.
